Finding thesixtyone was one of the most incredible things to ever happen to me in my entire musical life. My soul thrives on finding new music --I eat, sleep and breathe it. There I found more gems than I could have ever imagined. So much of it is amazing and so very much of it is largely under appreciated off-site.
This is the list of songs I discovered and have since become obsessed with in the past 240+ days since I joined. All of these songs I feel certain I would have never come across if not for T61 and all of these are far superior to anything I found rummaging through iTunes or my local Best Buy. Regardless of what record companies tell us, you can't put a price on a good song. A warning that you'll find everything from freak folk to sweet female vocals on this list. Sorry, I don't have a type.
Ladies and Gentlemen: the songs you are about to hear are real. My love for them is real. Only the dates (may) have been changed to protect those technically released in 2008 or earlier.
Listen. Love. Repeat.
